Beef and Baby Corn Strip-Fry

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced and cut into 1- inch strips
  • 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons light soy sauce (I used kikkoman)
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • 1/2 cup water 
  • 1/4 cup oyster sauce 
  • 2 tablespoons Chinese cooking wine
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, cored, seeded and sliced into thin strips
  • 10 to 12 snow peas, ends trimmed
  • 1/2 cup water chestnuts, drained
  • 8 to 10 baby corn, cut into 1-inch lengths
  • 1 onion, peeled and slice thinly
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
